Interview With Hunit-Proof

What lead you to become a rapper/producer?

I'm an artist. I was an artist before I became a producer but I was curious of how it's done and what it would feel like to produce music because it seems magical to me. I started producing music in FL Studio and never looked back.

How does your music differ from other top or upcoming rappers?

Well, for one I produce 100% of my music and it's a different sound because I'm creative. Usually you'll hear music that sounds like it's been made before because producers and rappers will follow behind what's "hot." I created my own sound and I'm running with that. GHOSTLY

What are some of your top hits right now?

I really only have one song out right now which is the production of 50 Cent's 'Ghetto Like A Motherfucker' and it's not even official yet. It was a contest startet last March and it's still not over yet. He'll shoot the video for the one he choose but I believe I've won because DJ Pauly downloaded it for his Ipod already and when I sent it to him he followed me on twitter and replied, "dopeeeeeeee" (with all the e's.)

Do you have any upcoming projects?

Yes I have 3 or maybe 4 free projects I'm working on now. (1) TBOG (2) Billionaire Mindstate and the 3rd I can't release the name yet. I'm producing EVERY beat and instrumental on each project so to me that's amazing because it's not like you can tell from hearing the same sound; there's a different feel to every beat and a different level after each project. TBOG is coming soon...

How are you promoting your music and yourself?
Twitter. Simply put, twitter is getting me where I need to be. It'll only work if you do it right though. People don't realize or don't care when they spam music in other people's mentions they get ignored. You have to share and spread your music in a clever manner.

Does pressure rise with expectations?
No, I don't feel any pressure at all. I know what I'm capable of and I know what I'm doing and creating is great. It's only a matter of time until it blows up.

Any special thanks or shoutouts?

GOD. The one who blessed me with the talent and ability and now it's up to me to use it.
